For this episode of BNR Techniektour, Thomas Schuurman visited Solliance Solar Research for the latest technology behind solar energy and to learn that solar cells in the near future will surf all around us: in facades, roofs, infrastructure and roads. At the SEAC test center, he saw how the first development of these new solar panels was tested and validated.

He also visited the installation company Leertouwer and saw what it takes to install solar panels. This technology in particular has undergone a major development in recent years. Safe placement has become simpler and cheaper.

Finally, Wim Sinke (ECN.TNO) speaks. He explains how we can ensure that we can make better use of the possibilities to generate 50 times more energy from the sun than we do now.
